The FODMAP protocol, run for you.
Day 1 of 84. We'll take it from here.
For people with IBS who know what the low FODMAP diet is but don't know what to do today. Fodo runs the entire 3-phase protocol like a coach: day by day — from elimination, through every challenge and washout, to your personal tolerance profile.
How the protocol works
Elimination is the start, not the goal. Success means safely bringing back as many foods as possible — and knowing what actually triggers you.
- Phase 1
Elimination
At least 2 weeks on the low FODMAP diet: a clear daily plan, a safe-foods list, evening symptom check-ins. Once your symptoms improve, the app tells you it's time for the next step — instead of keeping you in elimination forever. Already done with elimination? You start straight from the tests.
- Phase 2
10 reintroduction tests
Each FODMAP group is tested separately: 3 days of increasing doses of a specific food, then a 2–3 day break (washout). Fodo reminds you about doses, guards the breaks, and issues a verdict for each group — including an honest "inconclusive" when stress or an infection muddied the signal.
- Phase 3
Your tolerance profile
The outcome of the protocol: what you can eat and in what portions. Your profile overlays the entire food database, and you can take a PDF report of your phases to your dietitian. After 3 months you can re-test the groups that went badly.
How Fodo differs from dictionaries and scanners
A timed plan as the product
The home screen is "today" in your program: today's test dose, washout, symptom check-in. Fodo doesn't just answer "can I eat X?" — it answers "what should I eat, check and log today".
Transparency over a black box
Every food rating shows its source and a confidence level. Where data is missing, we honestly show "we don't know" — instead of a false green light.
Lights at any portion size
FODMAP subgroup grams and portion thresholds, not fixed labels. Move the portion slider and the lights recalculate for your portion — with warnings about stacking within a meal and across the day.
Polish and English, from day one
A Polish protocol with Polish foods — bread, dairy, what is actually on the shelves. A database of over 10,000 ingredients, in PL and EN from the start.

Frequently asked questions
Does Fodo replace a dietitian or a doctor?
No. Fodo is an educational and organizational tool — it doesn't diagnose, doesn't treat, and doesn't replace a professional. The low FODMAP diet is intended for people with IBS, ideally diagnosed by a doctor, and the protocol is safest done together with a dietitian or doctor. Fodo supports that collaboration (a PDF report of your phases); it doesn't stand in for it.
How long does the protocol take?
Typically 12–16 weeks: at least 2 weeks of elimination (until symptoms improve), then a series of reintroduction tests — each is 3 days of doses plus a 2–3 day break — leading to your tolerance profile. The pace is yours: the app guards the minimum gaps, but you decide when the next test starts.
Do I have to start with elimination?
No. In the starting survey you say where you are: if elimination is behind you and your symptoms are under control, you go straight into reintroduction tests. Fodo doesn't make you repeat what you've already done.
How is Fodo different from scanner apps or a FODMAP dictionary?
Dictionaries and scanners answer "can I eat X?". Fodo answers "what should I eat, check and log today so that in a few months I know what triggers me". It's a guided program with a beginning and an end, not a database to browse — though you get the full database too, unlimited and free.
What happens to my health data?
Symptoms, your diary and test results are processed solely to make the app work: your plan, charts, verdicts, the PDF report. The data is encrypted and stored on servers in the European Union, is never used for advertising and never sold. It requires your explicit, withdrawable consent, and export and deletion are available in Settings. Details are in the privacy policy.
Is it a subscription?
The core is not. The Protocol is a one-time purchase — buy once, keep forever, with the option to reset and run it again. The only subscription (yearly) is the optional Fodo+ add-on for those who want the nutrition layer, deeper reports and a higher AI scan limit.
What exactly is free?
Forever: the full food database with the portion slider and rating sources, full symptom diary logging, protocol education and 3 AI scans per day. From the plan: the first days of elimination with a shopping list, and the first full reintroduction test with a verdict — so you see how the program really works before paying.
